Who it's for
This one-day retreat is designed for those who need a pause from the rhythm of urban living. Plug into nature, nourish yourself with food grown from the earth, and enjoy yoga practices focused on cultivating a sense of stability, clarity and stillness within.
Workshop tutor
Dr Stanford Wong – Dr Stanford Wong - yoga therapist, trained in the lineage of T.K.V. Desikachar, and qualified medical doctor working in mental health, with a special interest in women’s health. Co-host of the Yoga & Health Podcast.
Overview
This is a day to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the country, good food and yoga sessions led by Stanford. The proposed timetable is as follows:
Arrival from 9.30am onward to allow for a 10am start.
10.00 Warm introduction to the beautiful location and to each other.
10.15 Morning Yoga Practice led by Stanford (~1.5 hours)
12.00 Vegetarian lunch, prepared by Flora with seasonal produce from the farm and locally sourced, ethical ingredients.
13.00 Guided walk with Flora around the farm, along public footpaths, through woods and to the local lake. We will share the ethos behind biodynamic farming, some local history and the what the changing seasons look like in this region of England.
*If weather does not permit the guided walk, or if anyone would prefer not to take part, there will be an option to stay indoors. You can enjoy a cosy cuppa in the Barn, on a comfy sofa beside the wood burner.
14.30 Afternoon yoga practice led by Stanford (~1 hour).
15.30 Tea or coffee and cake in the barn.
16.00 Closing and goodbyes.
